Leader: Know that the Lord is God. It is God that made us, and we are God’s; we are God’s people, and the sheep of God’s pasture.
People: Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving, and God’s courts with praise. Give thanks to the Lord, bless God’s name.
Leader: For the Lord is good; God’s steadfast love endures forever, and God’s faithfulness to all generations. - Psalm 100
*THE PROCESSIONAL HYMN 267 All Things Bright and Beautiful ROYAL OAK
THE CALL TO CONFESSION Ellie Spears
THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. At times it feels as if we are far from you, at the bottom of a pit, or stuck in the miry clay, unable to free ourselves. Lift us up. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us consuming worry and judgement. Set us free from a past that we cannot change; open to us a future in which we can be changed; grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image, and give us a new song to sing through Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Amen.
A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)
THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON Sophie Ryan
Leader: See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are.
People: As God’s children, let no one deceive you.
Leader: Believe the promise of the Gospel:
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Hallelujah! Amen!
*THE CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE I Will Call Upon the Lord I WILL CALL
I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised. So shall I be saved from my enemies. The Lord liveth, and blessed be the Rock, and let the God of my salvation be exalted. The Lord liveth, and blessed be the Rock, and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

THE ANTHEM “40” Words and Music by U2
The Youth Choir (Ashley Hoffman, director)
I waited patiently for the Lord, he inclined and heard my cry. He lifted me up out of the pit, out of the miry clay. And I will sing, sing a new song. I will sing, sing a new song. How long to sing this song? How long to sing this song? How long, how long, how long, how long, to sing this song? He set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm. Many will see. Many will see and hear. And I will sing, sing a new song. I will sing, sing a new song. How long to sing this song? How long to sing this song? How long to sing this song? How long, how long, how long, how long, to sing this song?

*THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH AND APOSTLES’ CREED Taylor Morton
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
THE PASTORAL PRAYER Lauren Fairleigh
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
