SING WITH THE CHOIR SUNDAY

Have you ever wanted to sing with Morningside's Chancel Choir? Join us on Sunday, June 14 for our annual "Sing with the Choir" Sunday! To prepare for worship, we will rehearse Wednesday, June 10 from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. We then meet on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. If interested, email masoncopeland @morningsidepc.org. We hope to see many participants - come and bring a friend!

SUMMER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We know you are filling up those summer calendars.  Don't forget to mark the weeks of June 15-19 for VBS and July 20-24 for Mission Camp to help make children's programs here at MPC happen. 

     - Set Up for VBS, Sunday, June 14, 2-5 p.m.
     - Serve snack (not provide it, just prep, serve and clean up) for VBS 9-11 a.m.

       (one more volunteer needed for each day Monday-Friday)
     - Assist with child care of younger siblings whose parents are volunteering

       8:30 a.m.-12 noon Tuesday-Friday.
     - Attend Closing Day Program and Lunch, Friday, June 19, 12 noon
     - Clean Up VBS, Friday, June 19, 1-2:30 p.m.
     - Drive one morning or afternoon or whole day for Mission Camp, Monday-

       Friday, July 20-24.  We need 3-4 drivers each day besides staff in order to

       transport our kids around Atlanta to experience hands-on outreach.

VBS DONATIONS

Our 'Around the World in 5 Days' Vacation Bible School theme needs luggage to help make it feel real as we travel by plane, boat, train, hot air balloon and space shuttle to help those in need.  If you are willing to loan a few pieces of luggage, please label them and bring to Room 003 by June 14.  They will be placed back in this room for pick up after June 19.  If you are able to donate snack or lunch items, check out the remaining needs on the bulletin board across from office.  Bring items in no later than Sunday, June 14.

SUMMER CHILDREN'S WORSHIP 
Through the first week-end in August, we combine our elementary-age classes to include children those who have just completed Kindergarten-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade. Leaders will include parent volunteers, Amy Howell and Melinda Sandkam. The older class attends worship on first Sundays, and all elementary ages are invited to attend worship on July 5. (See our refreshed and replenished children's worship books in the library. We welcome your creativity in decorating our cover pages.) All other age groups remain the same. Children are invited to "move up" to new age groups on Sunday School Kick Off in August.
