YOUTH MISSION TRIP TO NEW ORLEANS
Bright and early last Sunday morning 17 Youth and 4 chaperones departed for a week long mission trip to New Orleans where they will work with Project Homecoming, an organization which helps those still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. Please pray for our youth, their families and all those they will encounter on their journey.
ISLAMIC SPEAKER BUREAU OF ATLANTA COMES TO MPC
This Sunday, June 28 at 9:45 Alan Howard of the Islamic Speaker Bureau will speak about the Islamic faith from his own perspective. You can find an AJC article Alan wrote condemning the violence of the ISIS here. The class will be in Room 201 and out of respect for our guest speaker we ask that you plan to arrive by 9:45.
CLIFTON WELCOME HOME BASKETS
It's that time of year again that we collect household items that make up the Welcome Home Baskets for the men of Clifton Sanctuary Ministries. The items will be collected over the next several weeks at which point the baskets will be assembled by this year's Mission Camp attendees. There is a bulletin board at the entry way with slips of paper listing the items needed. Simply take the slips for the items you wish to provide and return the items to the Welcome Center by
July 12. If you have any questions, feel free to contact David Johnston at 617.233.2004 or dmjohnst@gmail.com.
MISSION CAMP UP NEXT
With 21 attending this year's Mission Camp,
July 20-24, we will need 5 drivers per day to make it to our outreach locations. Contact Melinda today to let her know which day(s) - full day or morning or afternoon you would be able to help us out. The first morning, Monday, July 20, we will be here at MPC, but need two more chaperones (no driving required). These roles are all lead volunteers which requires background and driving checks, so please sign up early so we can get everyone set. See our Mission Camp bulletin board across from the Session Room 103 for more detailed needs.
