ADULT
With the help of reference works and study methods, we can read and study the Bible and uncover many of its layers of meaning for ourselves. This class is a brief introduction to Bible study that will, hopefully, whet attendees' appetites for studying and exploring the Bible on their own.

Morningside's Jennye Guy continues this class at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201 using the book of 1 John as a teaching example and an overview of one system of study--The Inductive Method.

CHILDREN
It's time to kick off our new Sunday School year! If you have a little one, age 18 months through fifth grade, join us in the Fellowship Hall this Sunday, September 13 at 10 a.m. for face painting, crafts, dress-up games, and light refreshments. For those children moving into a new classroom, we will escort them to their new room at 10:55 a.m. If you or your youth would like to help, contact Liz Sommerfeld at elizabethsommerfeld@gmail.com.

LGBT & FRIENDS
LGBT & Friends will kick off their 2015/2016 season tonight, September 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. We will gather at the home of Mardee Rightmyer and Julie Green (2707 Pharr Rd NE 30317-Eastlake area). This month's meeting, Marriage Equality: Check. So What's Next? will be led by Morningside member Tim Holbrook. Dinner will be provided (a $10 donation towards the meal cost is suggested). RSVP to lgbtandfriends@morningsidepc.org. 

ONE GRAY HAIR
One Gray Hair begins the fall season tomorrow, September 9 at noon in Fellowship Hall with lunch and a program. The program will be a talk and discussion led by Miranda Brownlee on her recent trip to Israel and Palestine.  Please come with your questions and ideas as we talk about this critical part of our world so ravaged by conflict and violence. COUPLES GROUP
The Couples Group will gather together this Friday, September 11 at 7 p.m. for a meal and fellowship at the home of Susan and Tom Oder (1334 Old Johnson Ferry Rd., NE 30319). All couples are invited to attend. For more information and to RSVP contact Kathy Bremer kdbremer@bellsouth.net.

THINKING ABOUT JOINING MORNINGSIDE
Morningside will offer visitors the following opportunities to learn more about our church. This Sunday, September 13, we will hold an Inquirers Class followed by a New Members Class next Sunday, September 20. MEDITATION AND DISCUSSION GROUP
Morningside's Meditation and Discussion Group will meet this Sunday, September 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Pam and Ken Sharpe (1700 Timberland Road, Atlanta 30345). We will have a light dinner then discuss "The Light Within: Meditation as Pure Prayer" by Laurence Freeman, OSB. We conclude with a meditation period, the evening takes about 2 hours. THRIVING AND SURVIVING
If you are the mother of a young child (or a mother to be), join us Monday, September 21 at 10 a.m. or Thursday, October 1 at 7 p.m. in Room 201. Facilitated by Dr. Sarah Juul, the mother of a young child and perinatal psychiatrist in private practice, we will discuss baby nurture, life changes, and coping and adapting resources. The free discussion needs a minimum of participants and will be limited to no more than 15. Child care will be provided, but children are welcome.
