CHANCEL CHOIR PREMIERS NEW ANTHEM
This coming Sunday, June 10th, the choir will premier Mac Frampton's anthem, "Bless the Lord, O My Soul." Based on Psalm 103, Mac has set the text beautifully for choir accompanied by flute (Jim Zellers) and piano (Mac Frampton). We thank Mac for his creativity and look forward to the first hearing of this great piece on Sunday morning during worship.

COUPLES GROUP - LAST TIME BEFORE HIATUS
This Friday, June 8, the Couples Group is hosted by Linda and Art Sweum at their home (1556 Fama Drive N.E., 30029). They will be serving fried chicken. RSVP and sign up for a veggie side, appetizer or a dessert by emailing Kathy Bremer. The Couples Group will take a two month break before resuming gatherings in September.

ICM FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEER DAY
Saturday, June 9 is MPC's chance to volunteer at ICM's Food Pantry. This is an easy way to serve our homeless neighbors; you only need to bring a smile and a kind word or two. To volunteer, contact Nancy Collins or Laura Ulep. The pantry hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in McIver Hall.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL & MUSICAL PRESENTATION
VBS begins next week, Monday, June 11, from 9 a.m. until noon, for children four years old through fifth grade. Students will be focusing on the Plagues on Egypt leading to the Exodus of the Israelites. The whole story will be presented by the campers in a closing musical called “Moses and the Freedom Fanatics,” on Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. Come support our children, as they show us what they've been learning and preparing for the past 2 weeks.
