“PUT ON YOUR SUNDAY CLOTHES:
MORNINGSIDE SINGS JERRY HERMAN”
It's finally here!!! Our fifth annual Morningside Sings Gala takes place this Saturday, August 18th at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 19th at 3 p.m. The production features over 30 musicians and designers from our congregation and community, highlighting stage classics from Hello, Dolly!, Mame and La Cage aux Folles. Donations collected at the performances will benefit our music programs and the greater community which Morningside serves. Invite your friends!
STEFAN DONNER ORGAN CONCERT
MPC is honored to be one stop on a busy U.S. recital tour for internationally-renowned concert organist Stefan Donner, on Tuesday, August 21st at 7 p.m. Stefan serves as the organist to St. Peter’s Church of Vienna, which will host our Chancel Choir during its 2019 Europe Choir Tour. The concert is now free and open to the public! Many thanks to a generous donor who has covered the expenses of the concert!
ANNUAL THORNWELL SPECIAL OFFERING
On Sunday, August 26th, we will take up a special offering for Thornwell, a Presbyterian ministry providing resources to “hurting children and families.” With locations in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, Thornwell offers foster care, residential care, parenting classes, and early childhood education for families in crisis.
