BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
This special service recognizes our animals that make an important contribution to the beauty in our lives. All Morningside members with pets are welcome to bring them on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 5:00 p.m., so that we may bless them and give thanks to God for their life. We ask that your pet is properly restrained either by carrier or leash, and if your pet is not “pet friendly” please bring a picture of him/her.
PASTORAL SEARCH
The IPNC (Interim Pastor Nominating Committee) wants everyone to know what they’ve been doing as they search for the right Interim Pastor for Morningside. They’ve completed phone interviews, done in-person interviews both offsite and at the church, had meals with several candidates, and conducted reference checks with members of previous congregations. They anticipate making an exciting announcement to the congregation in the not-too-distant future. Please continue to pray for this very committed and busy group.
MESSAGE FROM OUR TREASURER
Just a reminder - Church expenses for operations and missions are fairly uniform through the year. Receipts from pledges and offerings tend to lag during the summer which puts stress on church reserves. Please consider staying current with your pledge to assure our financial stability. Feel free to direct questions to church treasurer, Bill Humphries.

FLU SHOTS
The Preschool has arranged a flu shot clinic on

parents and church members. Since this is the first time that we are offering it, we do ask for an RSVP so that we have enough shots (please indicate if over 65 for different shot). The Clinic will be able to take insurance or you can pay for a shot $41. RSVP to (mpp@morningsidepc.org) by Thursday, September 20th.
