THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

"Love has bridged the high-rises of despair we were about to fall between. Love has been a penlight in the blackest, bleakest nights. Love has been a wild animal, a poultice, a dinghy, a coat. Love is why we have hope."

-from Almost Everything: Notes on Hope; Anne LaMott
WELCOMING OUR NEW INTERIM
Our IPNC announced that Rev. Leigh Campbell-Taylor has been chosen to be MPC’s interim beginning this Thursday, November 1st. Join us for Leigh's first Sunday preaching in the MPC pulpit and officiating Communion, this Sunday, November 4th. Stay for a special reception afterwards to welcome Leigh and her husband, Clarke to our Morningside family. Rev. Campbell-Taylor comes to us from her most recent interim work with Oakhurst Presbyterian church and prior to that Newnan Presbyterian, both congregations which were transitioning from pastors with over 30 years in the pulpit. Leigh has served in a variety of ministries with diverse congregations. We believe that her gifts and passion for leading transitional congregations will help shepherd MPC into its bright future!

GROW TOGETHER
FAITH DEVELOPMENT
The value of testimony – sharing a story of faith – has often been a divisive subject in the church, however, humans are storytelling beings. One of the ways we relate to each other, grow, and evolve is through hearing the stories of others and telling our own stories. During this three-week series, lead byAnna Miles, we will explore the concepts of narrative therapy and narrative pastoral care as they relate to sharing journeys of our faith.

FAITH AND FAMILIES
This class will continue sharing experiences of being parents in a hectic world, accomplished through open discussions, readings, and videos.
