Capital Campaigns

Morningside Presbyterian Church undertook its first capital campaign since the church was built — called A Time of Promise — to increase accessibility of the building to all levels, create a new entrance and Welcome Center and correct defects that had devloped over time.  An overview follows:

Construction work on the south wing of our handsome Georgian-style church building and landscaping throughout the grounds are now complete — a $2.1 million restoration and upgrade to our structure, for which we have so far pledged $1.6 million.

As part of this first-ever capital campaign, 31 areas of water intrusion were rectified, our historic Wicks-Coulter pipe organ was restored and renewed, our Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall were beautified and enhanced, and we contributed to Presbyterian mission work in the Sudan. We now have a new entrance that is accessible to everyone, an elevator that reaches all four levels of the south wing, new offices and new lavatories.

While the active capital campaign for A Time of Promise has finished, donations and pledges to repay our financing through the Presbyerian Investment and Loan Program (PILP) are always welcomed.
