Clifton Sanctuary Ministries

For more than 27 years the doors of Clifton Sanctuary offered a place of rest, shelter, healing and support to the homeless men of Atlanta. Open 365 days a year, the Clifton Sanctuary is the oldest shelter in Atlanta operating in a house of worship.

Morningside’s participation:

We provide dinner for 30 men on the fourth Saturday of the odd months (January, March, May, July, September and November).  We also collect items twice a year to create Welcome Baskets that are given to men when they move into their own housing.  Our children's groups often prepare food for the men at Clifton — cupcakes, lunches and sometimes the whole meal.  We also support the annual Clifton graduation dinner each October by purchasing a table.

How you can get involved:

Sign up to provide a dish and/or serve on a Saturday evening when MPC provides the meal.  Donate items for the Welcome Home Baskets.  Volunteer to work with the children when they are doing a project for Clifton.  Attend the annual graduation dinner.
