Our World

The history of global service projects by adults at Morningside Presbyterian varies — from individuals who have gone on medical mission trips, to folks who joined the Alliance for International Reforestation trip to Guatemala or have been a part of the teams that have gone with Honduras Outreach, to those who support immigrant ministries organizations here in our Presbytery and giving to fund an educator in Darfur through the Joining Hearts and Hands initiative

The children at Vacation Bible School give towards Heifer International each summer, and in 2011, our rising youth spent a week exploring third-world conditions at Heifer's Global Village.

For several years, MPC has supported member Emilie Paille's trips to Liberia through a Mercer University education program.  We collect items to send with the professors, undergraduate and graduate students teaching at the Ricks Institute in Liberia for a month in summer.
