New Member Sunday
Our next New Member Sunday is this Sunday, Sept. 28. If you have been thinking about joining Morningside, plan on coming to the Inquirers Class at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room 103. The Session will meet immediately afterward to receive new members. Please be in touch with Joanna Adams at joannamadams@bellsouth.net or 404.876.7396 x11 to let her know of your interest.

Say Hello
Please say hello to John and Gail Mapp, who will be visiting with us in worship this Sunday. John is the Project Manager for our new construction and the President of Level III Construction Co.

Name Tag Explosion
It is with joy that we report that there is no more room on the nametag boardhere at Morningside!  Therefore, until our renovation is complete, we will move the nametags for last names starting with A-C to an additional board that will be located on an easel in the Narthex.  All remaining nametags will be on the current display.  And the side entry board will remain available too.  Please be sure to WEAR your nametags at church events and on Sunday mornings, to even wear them downstairs to Fellowship Time.  There will continue to be baskets in the Fellowship Hall where you can return your nametags if you aren’t going back past the narthex.  Each week, those baskets are emptied and nametags are returned to whichever board you indicate.

Newly Baptized
Baptized last Sunday were Kate Baxter Eaton, Emily Chase Eaton, and Jackson Thomas Eaton, children of Joan Adams & David Eaton.  The elder assisting in the baptism was Lynn Hogue.

Clifton Dinner
Please sign up today in the Narthex to provide a dish for the men at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries next Saturday, Sept. 27.  Contact shepherds Tony Fishpaw, Kent Balch, or Brenda Fishpaw with any questions.

Family Gathering & Playground Picnic
All are welcome to the upcoming events for families with children. Join the Playground Picnic immediately following worship next Sunday, Sept. 28.  Bring a dish to share and visit while kids play.  If you have children pre-k and younger, the Kellers are hosting a gathering at their home, 3117 West Roxboro Road, this Saturday, Sept. 27, 4-6:30 p.m.
Angie and John Keller: 404-869-9066.

Mitten Tree
Our annual collection of mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for the children facing homelessness at Our House preschool begins on Friday.  Please join our MPP community in supporting this outreach by placing the items needed on our Mitten Tree next to Room 107.

AIDS Walk Nears
Support AIDS Atlanta by walking or supporting those who do on Sunday October 19 at 1 p.m. Contact Keith Blount at bkeithblount@gmail.com for more information.

Sympathy
Sympathy to the family of Sarah Tomaka. Sarah's father, Carl Moses died Sept. 22. Services will be held in Winston-Salem NC this Saturday.

Time of Promise Update
Outside brick work is well underway. The floor-roof tie-in has started. This week's photo shows entrance lobby framing which is now complete. All roofing should be finished this week.
