Worship for Sunday, November 16
Preaching – Chris Henry
Sermon: “A Peculiar People”
Text: Deuteronomy 7:6-11; Matthew 5:13-20
Key Verse: "You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.” Matthew 5:14
Stewardship Commitment Sunday
Commitment Sunday was a moving experience! We all waited in line to come forward and lay our pledges on the communion table. We sang the hymn through twice. 113 pledges have been received. The tally so far is positive! We need to have the remaining households respond. We need 100% of our Associate Pastor. We want an elevator that stops at all floors. We want to touch the needs of those within the sightlines of our steeple. We want to count ourselves among those who are passionate about sharing Christ’s love universally! If you have not done so yet, please mail or bring you pledge to church as soon as possible. Thanks be to God.
Welcome Newest Morningsiders

Big Fun This Saturday!
Saturday, Nov. 15, elementary kids are invited to Crack the Code to the Christian Year with Ms. Cathy, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. RSVP to Melinda today if you are able to join in this great sleuthing adventure which will include a mission project, lunch and outside fun too!
Meet the Bells!
This Sunday after worship, you'll have an opportunity to Meet the Bells! During the fellowship hour, all the handbells will be on display with bell choir members available to answer questions and give you a chance to try ringing a bell. Our regular rehearsals resume Thursday, November 20, 7-8 p.m. Handbells are an easy instrument to learn (and a great way to learn how to read music). If you're interested in joining us, please contact James Klotz at james.klotz@flyasa.com or 404.934.0124.
Sunday Forum
Be sure to come to the Sunday Forum, Nov. 16. We welcome Atlanta Community Food Bank President and Founder Bill Bolling who will speak on hunger issues facing our community. Please join us in Room 107 at 12:15 p.m. to be a part of this important discussion.
Our Name Says It All
It's all you need to attend our next One Gray Hair Luncheon Wednesday, Nov. 19 at noon in the Parlor Room 107. Our program is "Christianity on the Rocks - The Churches of Cappadocia", highlights of the Christian past in the history of Turkey. Daisy Ottmann traveled extensively there last summer and will share what she learned. RSVP to the church office by Monday, Nov. 17.
She Needs Wheels
Our friends at Adopt-A-Grandparent are looking for someone who has a car to donate for a co-worker needing to get to work. She loves visiting home-bound seniors and is a pro at it! She is over 80 herself, a human dynamo who brings joy to everyone she visits. Do you have an automatic car in good running condition that you could donate? Please contact Linda Langstraat
 at 404.627.4304 x 224.
Congratulations!
Dane Stogner, son of Morningsider Holly Campbell, and Elizabeth Le were married on November 1 at the Marriott Evergreen Resort at Stone Mountain.
Time of Promise Update
Installation of entrance pavers (in above photo by Aaron Bertrand) has begun, and 75% of the new light fixtures are in place. Elevator door frames at each floor have been installed.
Did You Know…?
Today, paving gets underway on our south parking lot?
