Women's Roundtable
On Monday, January 26, all women are invited to the first Roundtable of 2009 at the home of Lynn Young, 277 The Prado. RSVP to Melinda Sandkam by Jan. 22. We meet on fourth Mondays from 6:30-8:45 p.m. for dinner and conversation. This month, we will catch up with each other in the new year, and also announce three dynamic speakers for February, March and April.
Heavenly Tones
Morningside's new handbell choir is well under way with weekly rehearsals. However, it's not too late to join! We still have a couple of openings for folks who would like to join the fun, learning and good music. Handbells are easy to learn and can help with learning to read music. For experienced musicians, bells offer a unique challenge as a "team instrument." We rehearse Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. If you're interested in joining the newest addition to Morningside's music ministry, please contact James Klotz or 404.934.0124.
Did You Know…?
Our very own Rev. Chris Henry and Morningside elder Sarah Beth Gehl will be speakers at Presbyterian Rally Day at the Capitol on Thursday, February 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day will include workshops on advocacy issues, a hymn-sing, and meetings with state legislators. Registration forms are available on the table in the Narthex or click here. Deadline for registration is January 29. Please contact Sarah Beth Gehl with any questions.
