THE CALL TO CONFESSION

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you. We
humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy. We have not loved you with
a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not
done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God.
Have mercy on us, O God, in your loving-kindness. In your great
compassion, cleanse us from our sin. Create in us a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within us. Do not cast us from your presence, or
take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and
sustain us with your bountiful Spirit. Amen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)

THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON

* THE CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE (Hymn 466)

THE ANTHEM Our Father and our God Lockwood
Tami Giusto and Sue Blouin, soloists
Our Father and our God to Thee we pray. Thy voice alone has power to calm our fears; incline
our hearts to keep Thy holy law, and lead us in the way of truth and peace. We praise Thy name.
All nations Thou hast made will come and worship at Thy feet. Thou art great and doest wondrous
things. We praise Thy name for Thou art God alone, and rulest over all. Thou keepest faith with
those who trust in Thee. Thou art our Savior, our Shield and Defender, merciful and gracious.
