eNews eXpands
Starting next week, eNews and Life@Morningside will combine for a more comprehensive email news publication. Check out the new look in your inbox next Thursday!

Women's Bible Study Tomorrow
Joanna Adams’ Women’s Bible Study is Wednesday, Feb. 4 from 9:15 – 10:30 a.m. upstairs in Room 201. This month’s topic: The Parables - Stories of Jesus (Luke 8:5-8, Luke 13:20 & following, Luke 10:25-37, etc.) Join us at 9 a.m. for coffee and pastries.  Childcare is provided.  Women from the community, members, visitors and friends are all welcome.

Church Policy Forum
Please join us this Sunday, February 8, for our ongoing series of Sunday Forums at Morningside.  Chris Henry, Mardee Rightmyer, and Morningside's denominational liaison David York will lead a discussion on contentious issues facing the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and how these issues are being addressed locally and nationally. As the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta prepares for an important vote on ordination standards, we will consider some of the ways in which our congregation participates in the ministry of the denomination. Plan to stay next Sunday for this important conversation, which will begin at 12:15 p.m. in Room 201.

Tai Chi Class Now Forming
Led by Bob Wells, this one-hour class will meet on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for eight weeks, beginning Wednesday, March 4. Special cost for this daytime session is $50.00 for the course. If interested, please contact Sarah Brownlee at 404.876.3572 or rsbrownlee1046@att.net.

Churchwide Gardening Workday

Valentine's Day at Morningside this year won't be red: it'll be green! Join us Saturday, February 14, 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon for our churchwide Gardening Workday. We will help Trees Atlanta plant around our new church entrance. Please bring shovels, wheelbarrows and wear work gloves. We especially need some men to help plant some fairly large shrubs and trees. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. Please contact Beth Baer for more information at 404.873.0648 or bbaer@beloinlaw.com.

Give from the Heart
There is a collection point in the Narthex for $10 gift cards (CVS, Publix, Target, etc.) so we can give a Valentine gift to each of the 14 ladies at the Shearith Israel Shelter.

New Member Sunday
If you have been thinking about joining Morningside, join us for our next New Member Sunday, March 1.  Join us then for the Inquirers’ Class at 9:45 a.m. in Room 103. The Session will meet immediately afterward to receive new members. Please be in touch with Joanna Adams at joannamadams@bellsouth.net or 404.876.7396 x11 to let her know of your interest.

A Year in Review
In case you were unable to join us on Sunday, Jan. 18 for our annual meeting, please pick up your copy of the Annual Report and budget from the kiosk in the Narthex.

Welcome Newest Morningsider
The rosebud in the chancel Sunday celebrated the birth last week of Connor John Keaveney. Proud parents are Cathy and Steve. Congratulations!
