PRESBYTERY LEADERSHIP EVENT
Would you like to know more about various roles in the church? If so, the Fall Leadership Event to be held at Trinity Presbyterian on Saturday, August 22, provides just the opportunity for you. In addition to the keynote speech by Union Seminary President, Brian Blount, there will be a number of concurrent sessions led by knowledgeable leaders, including Morningside's own Mardee Rightmyer and Sue Ballay. For details and registration information, go to the Presbytery website (www.presbyteryofgreateratl.org) and follow the link for the Fall Leadership Event.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT MORNINGSIDE

The Bible Class
Great Prayers of the Old Testament

Next Sunday, July 26, Morningside's Bible Class will continue a study based on Professor Walter Brueggemann's book, Great Prayers of the Old Testament. Each week, we read and discuss two prayers contained in the Old Testament, followed by a conversation about how these words might inform and inspire our own prayer life and our faith. Next week, we will study the prayers of two of scripture's most interesting and complex prophets: Jonah and Jeremiah. Come to learn from and be inspired by these moving prayers from our faith ancestors! The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45am in Room 201 and is taught by Associate Pastor Chris Henry.
