CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT MORNINGSIDE
The Bible Class
Great Prayers of the Old Testament
Next Sunday, August 2, Morningside's Bible Class will continue a study based on Professor Walter Brueggemann's book, Great Prayers of the Old Testament. Each week, we read and discuss two prayers contained in the Old Testament, followed by a conversation about how these words might inform and inspire our own prayer life and our faith. Next week, we will study the prayers of two significant, and very different, Biblical reformers: the prophet Jeremiah and King Hezekiah. Come to learn from and be inspired by these moving prayers from our faith ancestors! The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201 and is taught by Associate Pastor Chris Henry.
