We will continue our study based on Professor Walter Brueggemann's book "Great Prayers of the Old Testament." We will study the prayers of two of scripture's most interesting and complex prophets, Jonah and Jeremiah.

AN EVENING OF SONG
On Tuesday, July 21 at 7:30 p.m. you are invited to hear MPCs Walter Huff, pianist, and Katherine Murray, mezzo-soprano perform songs by Handel, Schumann, and DeFalla. Katherine is a staff soloist at Trinity Presbyterian Church and Director of Choral Activities at Paideia School. The program will be held at Trinity (3003 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta 30327) with a reception following. Suggested donation is $10.
YOUNG ADULTS SERVE DINNER SATURDAY
On Saturday, July 25th, we will be grilling out for the guests at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries beginning at 5:45 p.m. If you want to help serve or can provide a side item or dessert for 35, please contact Shannon Harris at shannonlharris@gmail.com.
LYDIA'S CIRCLE
The next Lydia's Circle meeting for young moms and female professionals at MPC will be held Thursday, August 13 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Cathy Keaveney's house, 714 Sherwood Road, 30324. Please RSVP to Tara Parrish, taraparrish@bellsouth.net.
AN EVENING WITH MAC FRAMPTON: POWERHOUSE PIANO!
Join Mac as he takes us on a trip from Gershwin to Bach and back. Renowned pianist and MPC member Mac Frampton will be offering a free concert here at MPC on Wednesday, August 19, 7:30 p.m. Invite your neighbors and friends. Make it a fun and easy summer outing by pre-ordering dinners with Terra Terroir by Monday, August 17. Meals will be ready and waiting for you in Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m. Childcare provided.
SUNDAY SCHOOL KICK OFF
Join kids on the front lawn for a light breakfast and fun activities August 16, 8:45-10:45 a.m. They will "bridge" to their new age groups, and we will be giving tours of the elementary age rooms. A light breakfast will be served. Adults and children alike are welcome!
