THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK...
"Those are decisions only the Lord will make. It would be foolish for me to speculate on who will be there and who won't...I don't want to speculate about all that. I believe the love of God is absolute. He said he gave his son for the whole world, and I think he loves everybody regardless of what label they have."-Evangelist Billy Graham, when asked by Newsweek magazine if he thinks heaven is closed to good Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus or secular people.

CPR and First Aid Certification...
MPP will host a workshop for CPR and First Aid Certification this Saturday at 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. E-mail mpp@morningsidepc.org for more information.

Great news concerning church telecommunications...
Through the good work of our Telecommunications Committee and Staff over the last few months, we have made major improvements to the Church and Preschool telecommunications systems. We now have: replaced the original (1949) incoming phone line with new cable; increased our incoming phone lines from 2 to 3; obtained a faster, more stable internet connection; automated back-up of all church data, to an off-site location; and, reduced our overall monthly telecommunications cost by 25%. Please know that your access to all of our voicemail, email and fax systems are unchanged. These changes will improve the capability of our staff and church community in accomplishing the daily work of our Lord.

Did you Know...
All of us who attended the Mac Frampton "Powerhouse Piano" concert last Wednesday were treated to one of the most joyful and entertaining evenings our church has ever hosted. The Morningside sanctuary was full of mesmerized listeners and magnificent music from sitcom themes of the 1970's to a stirring performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Among our distinguished guests on Wednesday evening was a group of residents from Signature Healthcare of Buckhead, a long-term care center for older adults. MPC member Kathleen Pramik, who is also Activities Director at the center, tells us that the concert was the "talk of the town' for days among the residents. Thanks to recent renovations of our church, Kathleen can write, "the building is perfectly structured for wheelchairs, and I was delighted to share Morningside Hospitality with my friends." Thanks be to God for this wonderful evening and for the opportunity to extend the welcome to all God's children!
