THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK...
Humans are invited to participate in the cosmic work...Work is decidedly not a human invention as such. It is a cosmic activity, indeed 'the' cosmic activity. There is only one work in the cosmos...[and] that one work is God's work. The surprising and therefore transcendent element in our work is that we never really know when it is finished or indeed whom or what it affects. Why was Jesus able to say his work was finished? Why did it get him into so much trouble? Did it kill him? If so, was it worth it? When is work bigger than death? by Matthew Fox
