We welcome as our guest teacher the Rev. Dr. George Stroup, who is the J.B. Green Professor of Theology at Columbia Theological Seminary. Professor Stroup is an expert in the life and theology of John Calvin. The class will be titled, "Calvin on the Bible."

Children
This morning, the preschool classes learn the story of the baby Moses and his delivery into the safekeeping of his own mother and sister (Exodus 2:1-10). The elementary classes learn more about David's son, Solomon, who becomes king of Israel and builds a temple for God in Jerusalem (1 Kings 5-6).

Time Change begins Sunday, November 1...Please remember to set your clock back one hour before going to bed Saturday night, October 31.

Heating and Air...We have begun installation of our new air conditioning system and repair of the heating for the Fellowship Hall. Heat will be available by Wednesday, October 28 and air will be available by Monday, November 2. Please bear with us as we improve these systems.

Service of Worship and Celebration...This Thursday, October 29, at 7 p.m. Morningside will host a worship service to kick off Atlanta's annual Pride Festival. Ther service is sponsored by the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta's Committee for Inclusion. All are welcome.

Christmas Cards...Christmas cards with a beautiful photograph of the Morningside sanctuary during last year's Christmas Eve service will be available for purchase in the Welcome Center on Sundays and in the church office throughout the week. The cost is $15 for a box of 15 cards. Proceeds will go to support Morningside's Mission Ministries.

Presbyterian Village...invites you to an Alzheimer's educational event at the Village Center on November 4 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature experts on the medical and care aspects of Alzheimer's, as well as family members sharing their real life experiences. For more information, please call the Village at 770.819.7000.

Sunday, November 1...The Transition Team will hold a congregational listening session today in Room 201 following worship (child care is provided).

You are invited to enjoy food, fun, and great music provided by "The Lucky Dogs" at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries' 30th Birthday Party today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Clifton (369 Connecticut Avenue, 30307, 404.373.3253). The menu will include burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers at fixins. A small donation to cover the cost of dinner will be appreciated.

Did you know...that Morningside is receiving a matching grant from Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) for our air conditioning work? Thank you GIPL!
