We will conclude our short series on the letters of John.
Children
This morning, the preschool classes will hear the story about Moses and the Red Sea, told through a Godly Play Story. The elementary classes learn about King Solomon assembling the people of Israel at the new temple for a great festival of praise to God. (1 Kings 8)

12:00 p.m. Fellowship
1:30 p.m. Pizza, Ping Pong and Pastors

and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. John 11:25-26
Long-time Morningside member Bill McClure died on Saturday, November 7, 2009. A memorial service will be held in the sanctuary of Morningside on Tuesday, November 10, at 11 a.m.
Attached to this email... (below this entry) you will find biographies for those elected to deacon and elder positions for the Class of 2012 at yesterday's Congregational Meeting. These officers will be ordained and installed at the January 3 worship service. Also attached are the biographies for those elected to the Pastor Nominating Committee. These individuals are ready to begin preparing Morningside's Church Information Form so that the search for a new pastor can begin January 11, 2010.
Monday through Friday...The Morningside Presbyterian Church community is invited to attend the Preschool's Annual Scholastic Book Fair being held November 9-12 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the church parlor.
Thursday, November 12...Lydia's Circle for young moms and female professionals will have their meeting. For more information, or to RSVP contact Tara Parrish, taraparrish@bellsouth.net
Sunday, November 15...MPC fourth- through sixth-graders are invited to lunch and a contest with Revs. Joanna and Chris in Fellowship Hall after worship today as they enjoy Pizza, Ping Pong & Pastors!
- Pageant practice starts today at 9:45 a.m. We need volunteers with all sorts of gifts and talents for the 2009 Christmas Pageant to be held on December 20 at 5 p.m.
Did you know...that MPC's music assistant Marcy Meredith is doing commercials? Look for her on television!
