Prayer of the Week...Eternal God, through long generations you prepared a way for the coming of your Son, and by your Spirit you still bring light to illuminate our paths. Renew us in faith and hope that we may welcome Christ to rule our thoughts and claim our love, as Lord of lords and King of kings, to whom be glory always. Amen. - A Prayer for Advent, Book of Common Worship
Sunday, December 13...This Sunday, the Chancel Choir will lead worship. Led by Choirmaster/Organist Walter Huff, the choir will sing traditional carol arrangements, spirituals, and works by Handel, Holst, Rutter and Vivaldi. Guest soloists will be Jason Hardy and Carolyn Kahl.
Wednesday, December 9...Join national leaders and Atlantans tonight from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at The Carter Center to discuss race, civility and equality of opportunity while exploring the impact of race in our region. This Town Hall event will bring together esteemed educators, historians, elected officials, business and community leaders, and the general public to consider the unfinished work yet to do regarding race in our community.
