Dear friends,
As 2009 draws to a close, I find myself looking forward to several occasions in the immediate days ahead that will mark the ending of the old and the welcoming of the new:
-Worship on Sunday, December 27, 2009 - In a sermon entitled “Come before Winter,” I will reflect upon the importance of never postponing joy or hesitating to act in love.
-Worship on Sunday, January 3, 2010 - New classes of deacons and elders will be installed. The message that day, “No Heavy Lifting,” will apply, not only to the officers, but to us all, I promise!
-The festivities on January 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Emory Conference Center - There will be ample opportunity at the party for us to celebrate the blessings of these five and one-half years together.
-Worship on January 10, 2010 - This will be my final opportunity to lead worship and preach as Senior Pastor of Morningside Presbyterian Church. The sermon for the day will be entitled, “Tell.”
I look forward to enjoying these special times with you and am deeply grateful for all that we have already shared.
To God be the glory!
Your pastor, Joanna
