At Christmas God split history into before and after so that even the atheist dates his letters from the birth of Christ. Anybody here choose to attempt to split history? - George Buttrick

Officer Ordination and Installation
Joanna Adams' message, "No Heavy Lifting," will apply, not only to the new classes of deacons and elders being installed today, but to us all! Joanna's last Sunday to preach at Morningside will be next Sunday, January 10. Her final day in the office will be Thursday, January 7, 2010.

Un-decking Crew Opportunity...
Please help us un-decorate our Sanctuary tomorrow, December 29 at 9:30 a.m. Un-decking is faster, requires somewhat less talent than decorating, and you can still serve in this important aspect of Life at Morningside. Please contact Georgia Marshall at 404.909.3477 or gkmarshall@gmail.com.

Joanna Adams is the featured speaker on the January 3 and 10 "Day 1" programs. The two episodes, which launch the 65th year of weekly broadcasts for "Day 1," celebrate Joanna's three decades as a pastor, preacher, and church leader. The program airs on Atlanta Radio Station WSB 750 AM at 7:05 a.m. For more information, visit their website at 222.day1.org.

The activities of the Christmas season coupled with the start of a new year have called for a January pause of the Morningside Messenger. Look for the February issue before long.
Did you know...
Joanna Adams was recently honored at MPP's holiday event? Christmas carols were sung by the children and following the singing Joanna was given a scrapbook made by the children complete with the children's pictures enjoying life at Morningside's preschool.
