CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT MORNINGSIDE

The Bible Class -Bible Basics: Getting Into Scripture

Next Sunday, January 17, Morningside's Bible Class will continue its series entitled, "Bible Basics: Getting into Scripture." This four-week series is designed to give new or inexperienced Bible students some of the basic tools needed to more fully understand how to approach the scriptures of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament. It is also a great refresher course for longtime students of the Bible. If your New Year's resolution is to learn more about your faith, this is the place to start!  The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45am in Room 201 and is taught by Associate Pastor Christopher Henry.

CHILDREN’S CLASSES

Today's story for the 3's and Pre-K tells the story of Jesus calling the special friends who became his followers. The scripture lesson for the elementary age classes is Mark 1:1–8, and tells the story of John baptizing people and proclaiming that one is coming whose baptism will change lives. The lesson explains that through baptism, we are adopted and welcomed into God’s family. (Mark 1:1–8)
