Thought of the Week...
"The grace of God means something like: Here is your life. You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn't have been complete without you. Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid. I am with you. Nothing can ever separate us. It's for you I created the universe. I love you. There's only one catch. Like any other gift, the gift of grace can be yours only if you'll reach out and take it."

- Frederick Buechner, "Wishful Thinking: A Seeker's ABC"

A Message from Christopher Henry...

Dear friends,

With the powerful words and heavenly music of Sunday's worship service still ringing in my ears, I write to you with a heart full of hope for Morningside's bright future. I cannot wait to see where God is leading us! This week, at the request of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta, I will be attending an Interim Pastor Training Conference at Calvin Center in Hampton, GA (think Atlanta Motor Speedway!). Glenn Small, an affiliate member of Morningside and ordained Presbyterian minister, is serving as pastor on call, and I am reachable by cell phone as well. Most of all, I look forward to being with you this Sunday in worship, as we welcome The Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Long as our distinguished guest preacher. Tom is among the most well-known and loved preachers in our denomination and has been honored as one of the twelve most effective preachers in the English-speaking world by Baylor University. You won't want to miss worship this Sunday!

With warmth and gratitude,
Chris Henry
