CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT MORNINGSIDE
The Bible Class—Bible Basics: Getting Into Scripture
Next Sunday, January 24, Morningside's Bible Class will continue its series entitled, "Bible Basics: Getting into Scripture." This four-week series is designed to give new or inexperienced Bible students some of the basic tools needed to more fully understand how to approach the scriptures of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament. It is also a great refresher course for longtime students of the Bible. If your New Year's resolution is to learn more about your faith, this is the place to start! The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45am in Room 201 and is taught by Associate Pastor Christopher Henry.
CHILDREN’S CLASSES
This morning, our 3’s and Pre-K classes learn about the exchange of gifts between Jesus and the woman at the well. She gave him a drink of cool water, and he gave her the knowledge of the gift of God’s love. (John 4: 3-30, 39-42) The elementary classes hear the story of the baptism of Jesus, that through that baptism, Jesus is claimed and blessed by God (Mark 1: 9 – 10).
