Mary brings a wealth of experience in parish and interim ministry, most recently as Parish Associate at Northwest Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. HAITIAN EARTHQUAKE

If you are seeking a way to reach out to those in Haiti facing the devastation of last week’s earthquake, you may designate a check to MPC for the good work that the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is doing. In addition, all who are interested are invited to the Session Room after worship to hear more about the nation of Haiti from Chris Henry and to pray together for those most deeply impacted by this tragic event.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT MORNINGSIDE

The Bible Class—A Journey Through the Word

Next Sunday, January 31, Morningside's Bible Class will begin a new series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." Through the end of April, we will be making our way through the New Testament, studying a different book of the Bible each week. Next week MPC member Jim Martin leads the first session on the Gospel of Matthew. Come as often as you are able to gain a greater understanding of scripture! The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45am in Room 201.

CHILDREN’S CLASSES

Today, preschool classes learn the story of the baptism of Jesus. Elementary classes continue to learn about baptism, following the theme of baptism as the process through which one is adopted and welcomed into God's family (Acts 2:38-31; Ephesians 4:4-6)
