Adult
We will begin a new series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." MPC member Jim Martin will lead the first session on the Gospel of Matthew.
Children
The preschool children hear a story of Jesus and a little girl and learn more about God's love (Mark 5:21-24, 35-43). Today, the elementary classes initiate a study of the Lord's Prayer, beginning with Jesus' teaching to begin prayer by giving praise to God (Matthew 6:9-15).

One Gray Hair Luncheon...
Make plans to attend the One Gray Hair Luncheon this Wednesday, January 27, at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Jack and James Klotz will share stories of their trip to the Holy Land. RSVP to Sarah Brownlee at rsbrownlee1046@att.net.
Small Group Bible Study...
Small group Bible study begins this Wednesday, January 27, and continues through March 24. If you are interested in studying Paul's letter to the Philippians with Morningside friends, contact Link Marx at 404.323.9174 or fmarx25@yahoo.com. This group meets every other Wednesday.
Big Fun for Elementary Kids...
Join us this Saturday, January 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as we welcome Paul Humphreys from Camp Calvin, make dinner for men at Clifton and enjoy camp food! Contact Program Director, Melinda Sandkam to let her know that your kids will be coming or to volunteer to help.
MPP Registration...
Registration for the 2010-2011 school year at Morningside Presbyterian Preschool began January 19 for currently enrolled families and the MPC church community. Be sure to contact Preschool Director Sarah Tomaka for details. Open registration begins on February 1.
Adult Mission Trip...
Space is filling up fast for our Spring Mission Trip to our nation's capital, Washington DC, March 23-28. See the Mission bulletin board to reserve your spot and find out more information. Contact Brad Odom at 404.386.3478 or Tony Fishpaw at 404.597.5485 with any questions.
This Sunday, January 31...
Annual Congregational Meeting...Following worship today, MPC will convene its annual meeting. Among the agenda items are: review of the 2010 budget, update of our A Time of Promise campaign and a report from the Transition Team. We will distribute copies of Morningside's 2009 annual report at the meeting. Plan to attend this important meeting.

Did you know...
that Bobbie Epting, who did her student ministry at Morningside while she was a student at Candler School of Theology was ordained on January 24 to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament? She is serving as Minister of Stewardship and Development at Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, a congregation of over 2,000 members and a wonderful endowment that is used for mission in the community and around the world.
