THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
"I have been learning a beautiful and harsh truth, that the Christian faith does not separate us from the world but immerses us in it; that the church, therefore, is not a fortress set apart from the city, but a follower of Jesus who loved, worked, struggled and died in the midst of the city."-Archbishop Oscar Romero

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Mark your calendars for Women's Bible Study led by Chris Henry this Thursday, April 1 at 9:15 a.m. in Room 201. The group will study Acts 10:1-11:18 and discuss questions of inclusion in the church. Childcare provided.

HOLY WEEK
On Maundy Thursday, April 1, a Mediterranean style dinner will be served at 6:15 (RSVP ASAP) with worship following at 7 p.m. Communion will be served and the Handbell Choir will perform. On Good Friday, April 2, MPC will be represented in a Community Tenebrae Service at Central Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m. (parking is available in the garage located at 180 Central Avenue SW, 30303. See www.cpcatlanta.org/address_map_phone_parking for more information). All are invited to this meaningful community worship. Easter Sunday we greet the holy day with a new Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. on the front lawn (inclement weather location is the sanctuary) followed by a light breakfast in the Welcome Center. Our traditional Easter worship service, including the Easter sermon and featuring special music by the Chancel Choir (selections from Rutter's Requiem and Charpentier's Te Deum), will take place at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. Childcare will be provided for all services. May your spirit be enlivened through worship at Morningside in this sacred season.

ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT
Join us for the Easter Egg Hunt next Saturday, April 3 at 10:45 a.m. There will be face-painting, VBS registration, treats and lots of eggs! In order to support the egg hunt we are looking for egg makers and hiders - sign up on the preschool entrance poster. Eggs can also be dropped off at that entrance. For more information contact Melisa Prevost at moprevost1051@yahoo.com.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING ON EASTER
On Easter Sunday, please consider joining with Presbyterian churches from around the world to share in One Great Hour of Sharing--a special offering that benefits many missions around the world. OGHS benefits the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance initiatives including critical work in Haiti and the Gulf Coast. Also, a little closer to home, Clifton recently received assistance from your contributions to OGHS. Read more about it on the Mission bulletin board or in your bulletin insert today.

TAI CHI
Tai Chi instruction and practice classes resume Wednesday, April 7, 7-8 p.m. for eight weeks. Bob Wells and Doris Williams will lead the classes. For additional information or to sign up, contact Barbara Ray, 404-876-7892, barbray@mindspring.com.

VENTURE CREW
The Venture Crew would like to thank everyone who participated in the "Scouting for Food Drive."

OUR SYMPATHY TO:
Gus Restrepo on the recent death of his brother Ruben Restrepo in Colombia.

Did you know...
that a faithful group of Morningside volunteers come each month to fold and put together the monthly Messenger so it can be mailed to those who have requested a paper copy. We couldn't do it without them
