ADULT
Morningside's Bible Class will continue its series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." MPC member Jim Martin will lead a discussion of the Letter to the Philippians, the next in our book-by-book study of the New Testament. The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45am in Room 201.
You are invited to join conveners Katie Davis and Amy DeBaets in a class on Faith Development. The focus of this class is personal and communal spiritual growth. The class meets in the Church Parlor at 9:45 a.m. This week's topic is "Life Together - Being the Church."

CHILDREN
The children's classes hear stories about Jesus that follow his resurrection. The three year olds and preschool class hear the story of Jesus' promise to his friends that even though he was leaving them, he'd always love and care for them. The school age classes learn of the travelers to Emmaus who talked with Jesus but did not recognize him until he sat with them, and he blessed bread and gave it to them.

Men of Morningside, will gather for Theology on Tap tonight at 7 p.m. at the home of Jay Myers (949 Plymouth Road NE, 30306). Topic: "Christianity and the Crash." Make plans to be there!

TAI CHI
Tai Chi classes resume Wednesday, April 7, 7-8 p.m. for eight weeks. For additional information or to sign up, contact Barbara Ray, 404-876-7892, barbray@mindspring.com.

Habitat Build Starts Today
We break ground for our 2010 Habitat for Humanity build this morning. Visit the Habitat bulletin board for more information, and to sign up for build days or to be a lunch provider. Special build days include Dad's Build, May 1 and Young Adults Build, May 8.
SUNDAY, APRIL 11
Welcome Reverend Catherine Taylor
This Sunday, we welcome as our guest preacher the Reverend Dr. Catherine Taylor, who will begin in May as the Senior Pastor of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg, VA. Rev. Taylor has served two congregations in Atlanta and most recently was Interim Pastor at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ithaca, NY. She has been a frequent preacher and speaker at national and regional conferences and on Day 1, the national radio program. She is also the sister of MPC member Julie Green and the daughter of member Julia Taylor. Rev. Taylor is a beloved pastor and a distinguished preacher, and we are grateful to welcome her to Morningside this Sunday.
Washington D.C. Mission Trip
Those who went on the spring mission trip to Washington, D.C. will be hosting Fellowship Hour next Sunday, April 11. We hope you will come to see pictures from their experience.
DRUID HILLS NIGHT SHELTER
This evening, Morningside Presbyterian church's "family" is providing the supper for the 30 men who are in residence at the Druid Hills Night Shelter. If you would like to help with this important ministry, please contact Julie Green at jgree09@emory.edu.

Did you know...
that the Venture Crew was able to double their goal of 100 pounds of food for the Atlanta Food Bank? The MPC congregation brought in 206 pounds of canned food for the Venture Crew's recent food drive. Way to go MPC!
