The Bible Class will continue its series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." MPC member Jim Martin will lead a discussion of the Letter to the Colossians, the next in our book-by-book study of the New Testament. This class meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201..

You are invited to join conveners Katie Davis and Amy DeBaets in a class on Faith Development. The focus of this class is personal and communal spiritual growth. The class meets in the Church Parlor at 9:45 a.m. This week's topic is "Life Together - Being the Church."

CHILDREN

This Sunday, the Preschoolers hear about a sad day that became a happy day when Peter visited the home of Dorcas, who had been very sick. The elementary children's classes will continue their study of communion traditions. This morning, they hear that Jesus surprised the disciples during the celebration of Passover by proclaiming it the "new covenant".

MPP'S 9TH ANNUAL SPRING FLING
Bring your little pirates and mermaids to the annual Spring Fling family festival this Saturday, April 17 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be games for all ages, pony rides, a petting zoo, a toddler play area, an obstacle course, a pirate ship, face painting and a train. We are looking for volunteers to do 1 1/2 hour shifts throughout the day. If you can volunteer, please email Melisa Prevost

HABITAT BUILD CONTINUES
We have broken ground on our 2010 Habitat for Humanity build, and there are still plenty of volunteer spots available for the next six Saturdays. See the Habitat bulletin board for more information, and to sign up for build days or to be a lunch provider. Contact Lynsley Tyler at lynsley@bellsouth.net for more information.


YOUNG ADULTS SERVE AT FOOD BANK
The Morningside Young Adults will be sorting food at the Atlanta Community Food Bank this Saturday, April 17, from 1-4 p.m. and then will share dinner together at the home of Anna and Miguel Garcia. NEW MEMBER SUNDAY
If you have been thinking about joining Morningside on our next New Member Sunday, plan on coming to the Inquirers' Class, this Sunday, April 18 at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room. Vacation Bible School

VBS registration and volunteer forms are now available. All kids 4 years old through 5th grade are welcome to join the travels ‘Around the World in 5 Days' June 21-25, 8:45 a.m.-12 noon. Contact Program Director Melinda Sandkam with any questions.
