Morningside's Bible Class will continue its series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." Mary Miller Brueggemann will lead the discussion on First Timothy, the next in our book-by-book study of the New Testament. The Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201.

You are invited to join conveners Katie Davis and Amy DeBaets in a class on Faith Development. The focus of this class is personal and communal spiritual growth. The class meets in the Church Parlor at 9:45 a.m. This week's topic is "Reaching Out."

CHILDREN
The preschool classes continue a series of lessons about Paul. This Sunday's story tells about Paul's escape in a basket. The elementary classes learn that Peter tells us Jesus is the Messiah of God.

HANDBELL CHOIR
This Thursday, April 29, we will have a Beginner's Workshop with a chance for one-on-one coaching in a relaxed environment from 7-7:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Regular rehearsal will be from 7:30-8:30. Contact James Klotz at james.klotz@flyasa.com or 404-934-0124 for more information.

Sanctuary flowers
Beginning this year on Mother's and Father's Days, we will have the opportunity to pay tribute to past and present loved ones (relatives/friends) who have impacted our lives with a memorial or tribute flower donation. If you would like to participate, see this week's Mother's Day bulletin insert.
UPCOMING EVENTS
HARMONY: INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CHORUS
Atlanta's International Youth Chorus (100 culturally diverse singers, ages 6 to 18) invites all members and friends of Morningside Church to attend HARMONY'S Alumni Reunion Concert on Sunday, May 23, at 5 p.m. in the MPC sanctuary. The musical styles will range from classical to jazz, spirituals to rounds, and the texts will include songs praising God; songs about peace, love, hope and joy; songs about dinosaurs, nightingales and rattlesnakes. This family and child friendly concert features flute, oboe, double bass, piano and percussion as well some choral movement and signing. Morningside has been providing rehearsal space to this group for the last year.
Vacation Bible School
VBS registration and volunteer forms are now available. All kids 4 years old through 5th grade are welcome to join the travels ‘Around the World in 5 Days' June 21-25, 8:45 a.m.-12 noon. Contact Program Director Melinda Sandkam with questions.
Did you know...
MPC member Ted McMahan was recently recognized at Atlanta Habitat for Humanity's Volunteer Appreciation Event for more than 100 hours of service in the past year. Congratulations Ted!
