THE PRELUDE Walter Huff, organist

THE INTROIT I Will Greatly Rejoice Allen Pote
Treble Choir (Brittney Jaynes, director)

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my song shall be full of His praise. For He loves me, He cares for
me, He believes in me and I believe in Him. I will sing unto God and honor Him this day. God is my
help in time of trouble. He is with me in time of fear; darkness surrounds me, evil thoughts confound
me, yet I know my God is near.

THE ANTHEM Look at the World John Rutter
Cherub, Treble and Chancel Choirs
Look at the world, everything all around us. Look at the world and marvel every day, so many joys
and wonders, so many miracles along the way. Praise to thee, O Lord, for all creation. Give us thankful
hearts, that we may see: all the gifts we share, and every blessing, all things come of thee. Every good
gift, all that we need and cherish comes from the Lord in token of His love. We are His hands, stewards
of all His bounty; His is the earth, and His the heavens above.

THE CALL TO CONFESSION

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord God, forgive us. When we walk through the shadow of death, we sometimes
fear evil. We are not always sure that nothing can separate us from the love of God in
Christ Jesus our Lord. In the midst of injustice we do not always see a new heaven
and a new earth. Forgive again, we pray, our feeble faith. Restore to us the hope of
trust and the trust of hope. We pray in the name of the risen Christ. Amen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)
