ADULT
Morningside's Bible Class will continue its series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." MPC member Jim Martin will lead the discussion on Hebrews, the next in our book-by-book study of the New Testament. The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201.

CHILDREN
Today the preschool classes hear the story of how God provided manna in the desert for the children of Israel. The elementary classes learn about the growth of a community of believers as people shared the good news about Jesus.

We continue our annual collection of goods for the Presbyterian Senior Community of Calvin Court. Please see specific lists on the website or on the donation baskets display in the Welcome Center through May 30.
Memorial Day
The church offices will be closed Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.
NEW MEMBER SUNDAY - JUNE 6
If you have thought about joining Morningside Church, June 6 is a great time to do it! Plan to come to the Inquirers' Class that Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room. The Session will meet immediately afterward to receive new members. Contact Chris Henry at christopher.andrew.henry@gmail.com or 404.876.7396 to let him know of your interest.
Lunch & Learn
Following worship on Sunday, June 6, Rev. Chris Henry will lead a discussion during lunch on what it means to be a Presbyterian and how to get involved at MPC. New members and visitors are welcome at this lunch 12:15-1:30 in Room 107. RSVP to Deacon Betsy Holland at betsy.holland@turner.com by Tuesday, June 1, so that lunch and childcare arrangements can be made.
SUMMER DISCUSSION GROUP ON SPIRITUALITY
Beginning Monday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at Morningside Presbyterian Church, Katie Davis will lead a small group on Christian Spirituality. The group will base its discussion on a book by Joan Chittister, a renowned leader on spiritual formation. Copies of the book will be available at the church. Call the church office (404.876.7396) to reserve a place.
Did you know...
...that Lynsley Tyler led a magnificent team of workers from Morningside Presbyterian Church, along with other churches, to finish Morningside's 10th Habitat House.
...that Katie Davis has been accepted in the PhD program in education at the University of Georgia.
