THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.
~St. Augustine of Hippo

MEN'S RETREAT
Feeling suffocated by city life? Tired of the smog, construction, and traffic? Our third annual Men of Morningside "Saturday Escape to Suches" on June 12 may be just the cure for what ails you! We will meet in the church parking lot that morning, spend the day relaxing with one another in the mountains, enjoy a delicious dinner, and return to Atlanta in the evening. For more information or to RSVP contact Chris Henry by this Friday, June 4.

NEW MEMBER SUNDAY
If you have thought about joining Morningside Church,
this Sunday is a great time to do it! Plan to come to the Inquirers' Class that Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room. The Session will meet immediately afterward to receive new members. Contact Chris Henry at christopher.andrew.henry@gmail.com or 404.876.7396 to let him know of your interest.

Lunch & Learn
Following worship this Sunday, Rev. Chris Henry will lead a discussion during lunch on what it means to be a Presbyterian and how to get involved at MPC. New members and visitors are welcome at this lunch 12:15-1:30 in Room 107. RSVP to Deacon Betsy Holland at betsy.holland@turner.com as soon as possible, so that lunch and childcare arrangements can be made.

INFANT NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are in need of additional volunteers for the church nursery that is open during the worship service. Volunteers typically work in the nursery one Sunday every two to three months along with two paid nursery workers. It is alot of fun and we could really use your help! Please contact Heather Regnault at hpregnault@yahoo.com or 404-771-0716 if you are interested in volunteering or learning more.

BISHOP WILLIAM WILLIMON AT MORNINGSIDE - JUNE 13
Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 13 when our guest preacher will be the Reverend Dr. William Willimon, United Methodist Bishop of the North Alabama Conference. Bishop Willimon was for twenty years Dean of the Chapel and Professor of Christianity Ministry at Duke University. He is author of sixty books and has been awarded honorary degrees from twelve colleges and universities. Willimon is a renowned preacher, teacher, author, and church leader who has preached and taught all over the world, and we look forward to welcoming him to Morningside. Following worship, Bishop Willimon will lead a Sunday Forum in the fellowship hall on the state of mainline Protestant churches in the 21st Century. Make plans to be here on June 13!

SUMMER DISCUSSION GROUP ON SPIRITUALITY
Beginning Monday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at Morningside Presbyterian Church, Katie Davis will lead a small group on Christian Spirituality. The group will base its discussion on a book, Humility Revisited, by Joan Chittister, a renowned leader on spiritual formation. Copies of the book will be available at the church. Call the church office (404.876.7396) to reserve a place.
