ADULT: Morningside's Bible Class will complete its series entitled, "A Journey Through the Word." Mary Miller Brueggemann and Jim Martin will lead the class in reflecting on the New Testament as a whole, and sharing discoveries and questions. The Morningside Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45am in Room 201.

CHILDREN: Preschool children will hear about a loving gift Jesus received from his friend Mary in the story I Love You, Jesus! K-2 will learn about the Good Samaritan. 3rd-6th grades will study prayer.

Congregational Hymn Sing this Sunday
As part of worship this Sunday, we will have an old-fashioned congregational hymn sing. The service will be inspiring and filled with wonderful music--come to sing some of your favorites with your congregation!

Nashville Mission Trip
Contact Duncan Spears if you are interested in this mission trip (August 18-21) to Tennessee and plan to attend an informational meeting this Sunday, July 25, at 12:15 p.m.

Still needed for mission camp
‘It's Not All About Me, II' Mission Camp (July 26-31) is still is need of volunteers to provide lunch on Thursday (2 people could share this responsibility), a snack on Friday and a heavy snack/light dinner on Friday. Get in touch with Shannon Lazzaro Lazzaroshannon@yahoo.com, if you can help.

Intown Collaborative Ministries
The Intown Collaborative Ministries (formerly ICA) is a ministry cooperative of congregations in 30306/30307 zip codes intended to help alleviate hunger by providing nutritious food and social growth through meaningful service. We are collecting food donations through August 1 (canned vegetables and fruits, pasta sauce, peanut butter, canned meats, fruit juices, cold cereals and crackers). Place your donated items in the Welcome Center baskets.

Openings at Morningside preschool
Morningside Presbyterian Preschool currently has openings in the pre-k class for this fall. The child must be four years old by September 1, 2010. For more information, please contact Sarah Tomaka at 404/685-8758 or mpp@morningsidepc.org.

Sympathy to
Nathan Burgess on the death of his father Darrell Burgess Saturday evening, and Gloria Joiner on the death of her sister Catherine Van Hall Sunday night.

...Billy and Anna Palmer and Liz Sommerfeld joined Morningside Presbyterian Church last Sunday? Please be sure to welcome these new members to MPC! Parents of three, Anna and Billy are attorneys and joined by transfer from St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Liz Sommerfeld and her husband Larry have two children and are expecting another child later this summer. Liz joined by reaffirmation of faith.
