ADULT: The Bible Class will continue its series on one of the most well-known and complex figures of the Old Testament, King David. We'll consider 2 Samuel 11-12, the powerful and painful story of David and Bathsheba. The class meets at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201, and all are welcome.
Throughout September, the Faith and Issues class will welcome as guest teacher Dr. Kathy Dawson, Associate Professor of Christian Education at Columbia Theological Seminary. Dr. Dawson will share helpful insights for all adults on how children develop and grow in Christian faith. The class meets in the Session Room at 9:45 a.m
CHILDREN: Today the story Adam and Eve introduces Preschoolers to what happened when God added humans to Creation. Early Elementary Classes will consider the messages that Moses and Aaron delivered to Pharaoah. "Double Digits" will be in worship.

Please join us tonight at 7 p.m. when the small group Bible study, part of our adult education ministry, will look at the book of Daniel and how it impacts us in today's world. THEOLOGY ON TAP
The first gathering of the fall is set for next Tuesday, September 14 at 7 p.m. at the home of Van Crisco. The topic will be "Personal Transformation and the God You Understand: Lessons Learned from Addiction and Recovery" with special guest Richard LaMadeleine, a retired Catholic priest. RSVP to Chris Henry by Sunday, September 12.
BIBLE AND BRUNCH
We begin a new monthly event at Morningside that combines Bible study and fellowship. Our first "Bible and Brunch" program takes place next Thursday, September 16, at 10 a.m. All members and friends are invited to Room 201 for a study of the Letter to the Ephesians. All who are interested in sharing brunch following the program will travel together to a local restaurant for table fellowship. Plan to join us!
LAWN MOWER NEEDED
One of Morningside's outreach missions is Six Star Refugee Partnership whose purpose is to provide housing, transportation, tutoring and support to a family forced to flee from a country because of war or disaster. This Saturday one of our families is ready to move out on their own. Six Star needs a lawnmower for the yard in their new home. Please call Holly Campbell at 404.233.0045 or Betsy Armstrong at 404.312.4062 if you have a lawnmower you can contribute. The Safi family thanks you. Watch for the arrival of our next family in the fall!
