32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time / Commitment Sunday

9:30 a.m. Coffee and Conversation

9:45 a.m. Church School for all ages / Inquirers Class
ADULT: The Morningside Bible Class continues its series on the diverse interpretations of scripture in the church today. We will study passages in First Timothy and discuss the qualifications for leadership in the church, a topic that is both timely and timeless. The Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45a.m. in Room 201, and all are welcome.

The Faith and Issues class begins a three-week study on the great ends of the church. MPC member Dr. Mardee Rightmyer leads this series, which includes discussion on the meaning and purpose of our mission and ministry. This class meets in the Session Room (103) each Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

CHILDREN: Preschoolers will hear Safe at Last and learn how God showed Moses how to bring the people to freedom. Elementary children will consider Jeremiah's worry that he is too young to be a believable prophet. Double Digits will be in worship.

THEOLOGY ON TAP
Men of Morningside, be sure to join us for Theology on Tap tonight at 7 p.m. at the home of Ken Sharpe (1700 Timberland Road, 30345). Topic: "The Future of the Faith." We'll discuss the place of the church, and of our church, in the contemporary world. The food will be good and the conversation is sure to be lively! Please join us.

Young Adults Fall Dinner November 6
Join the Young Adults at the Garcia's house this Saturday, November 6 at 6 p.m. for dinner and merriment! Miguel & Anna will provide the main course, so please plan to bring a side dish and beverage to share. Additionally, please bring canned goods to help us kick off our Atlanta Community Food Bank drive, which will officially begin November 14. THIS SUNDAY
- November 7 is Commitment Sunday at Morningside, when we will present our 2011 pledges during worship. Please plan to attend this meaningful service, and bring your pledge cards and Time and Talent forms, which can be used by multiple adults in the same family. Time Change begins Sunday, November 7

- Please remember to set your clock back one hour before going to bed Saturday night, November 6.

Cookbooks and Christmas Cards

- Support the outreach programs of MPC with your purchase of a MPC Cookbook and a box of beautiful Christmas cards. Shepherds from the Mission Committee will be selling these items before and after worship beginning this Sunday, November 7.

Congregational Lunch

- All are invited to the Congregational Lunch this Sunday in Fellowship Hall after worship. Suggested donation is $10 adult, $5 children. Don't miss a delicious meal with time to visit with Morningside friends. RSVP to the church office at 404.876.7396 or office@morningsidepc.org.

- You can get your picture taken for the new church directory this Sunday, November 7 in Room 201 following worship.

Did you know...
...Morningside was chosen as a SEED Fund recipient by The Pilgrimage Outreach in Washington DC. The $200 award has been given to augment our Bread for the Journey and Senior Workday projects which shepherds Shirley Adair and Jack Klotz and Lloyd Prince created from similar experiences on the March 2010 mission trip to The Pilgrimage.
