THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

INTRODUCING MORNINGSIDE'S NEW PASTOR
The Pastor Nominating Committee is pleased to present Rev. Dr. Baron A. Mullis as the next Pastor and Head of Staff of Morningside Presbyterian Church. Rev. Mullis' terms of call were approved by our congregation this morning at its called meeting. You can view a video of our new Pastor on YouTube by clicking the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46EQ8ivVmFg, by becoming a Fan of Morningside Presbyterian Church on Facebook or by checking the MPC website (http://www.morningsidepc.org) in the next day. We anticipate Baron's arrival in January of 2011.

Thanks Be to God! - The Morningside PNC

FROM THE COMMITMENT COMMITTEE
As we celebrate the election of a new pastor and prepare for the joy and wonder of Christmas at Morningside, your Commitment Committee continues to receive, and need, your financial pledges for 2011. The future before us is so bright, and we are grateful for your generous support of the ministry and mission of this community of faith. Thank you!

THIS SUNDAY AT MORNINGSIDE
Please join us this Sunday, December 5 for a special service of worship featuring both of our children's choirs, chancel choir, and Chris Henry's final sermon at Morningside. After worship, we will celebrate Chris' ministry with a pot-luck luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your favorite dish and a favorite story to share. We will pass the microphone around Fellowship Hall, so that all who wish to, may share a brief memory or words of appreciation. It will be another memorable day at MPC!

DIGITAL CHURCH DIRECTORY PICTURES
Last call! Have you still not gotten around to having your picture made for our new church directory? If you want to be included, please stop by Room 201 this Sunday.

MORNINGSIDE-MADE HOLIDAY SHOW AND SALE

Did you know...
MPC member Lynn Daniel was featured in a story on the front page of the Lifestyles and Art section of the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Sunday, November 28? The article, titled "Reviving colors and memories, piece by piece: Quilters don't let vision problems stop them from creating" celebrates Lynn's quilting class at the Center for the Visually Impaired in midtown Atlanta.
