NEEDS DON'T END AT CHRISTMAS
MPC will collect food for the Intown Collaborative Ministries (ICM) food pantry through January 9. Donations of food items such as canned meats, vegetables and various pop top items will help support the homeless and near homeless in 30306 and 30307 zip codes. ICM continues to serve more and more guests each weekend so needs continue to grow, as well. Please leave these items in the baskets in the Welcome Center. On Saturday, January 8, MPC will, for the FIRST time, staff the ICM food pantry which operates out of Druid Hills Methodist Church at Ponce de Leon and Briarcliff Road. This is a great way to hit the ground running with our Community Outreach in 2011! We'll need 5-6 volunteers from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Follow the link to ICM from MPC's website under "Mission In Our Community" to learn more, or volunteer by contacting Nancy Collins at ncollins0209@gmail.com or 770.842.3959.
