with gladness, come into his presence with singing.
People: Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are
his, we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name.
People: For the Lord is good, his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Leader: Let us worship God, who creates, redeems and sustains us. - Psalm 100
* THE PROCESSIONAL HYMN 138 Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
THE CALL TO CONFESSION
THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you. We humbly
confess our sins and ask your mercy. We have not loved you with a pure heart,
nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not done justice, loved
kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, in
your loving-kindness. In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Do not
cast us from your presence, or take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the
joy of your salvation and sustain us with your bountiful Spirit. Amen.
THE KYRIE (Hymn 572)
THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: We know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also
with Jesus, and will bring us with you into his presence.
People: Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to
more and more people, may increase thanksgiving, to the
glory of God.
Leader: Believe the promise of the Gospel:
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. - 2 Corinthians 4:14-15
* THE CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE (Hymn 473)
For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child, friends on earth,
and friends above, for all gentle thoughts and mild, Lord of all, to thee we
raise this our hymn of grateful praise.

THE APOSTLES’ CREED Sis Newsome
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in
Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born
of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended
into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of
saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.
Amen.
THE PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power
and the glory, forever. Amen.

and evermore your praise proclaim. You, Lord, are greatly to be praised, your greatness is beyond
our thoughts; all generations shall tell forth the mighty wonders you have wrought.
How rich in grace are you, O Lord, full of compassion, merciful, your anger always slow to rise;
your steadfast love you show to all, for you are good in all your ways, your creatures know your
constant care. To all your works your love extends, all souls your tender mercies share.
Your works will give you thanks, O Lord, your saints your mighty acts will show, till all the peoples
of the earth your kingdom, power, glory know. Eternal is your kingdom, Lord, forever strong,
forever sure; while generations rise and die, your high dominion will endure.
