THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
"Do not waste time bothering whether you love your neighbor; act as if you did. As soon as we do this we find one of the great secrets. When you are behaving as if you loved someone, you will presently come to love him."
~ C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
A brief congregational meeting will take place immediately after worship Sunday, April 10, for the purpose of dissolving the vacant Associate Pastor position. The position can be re-established easily whenever we choose to add staff; this vote will save the church money by our not having to pay into the pension fund for a vacant job.
WALK FOR LENT
The Morningside community is invited to walk for an hour during Lent. There are varied dates, times and leaders. The next walks will be Tuesday, March 29, 9 a.m. and Thursday, March 31, 6:30 p.m. Check out the bulletin board and website for more information.
COFFEE & DESSERT WITH BARON
In March, MPC members received invitations to coffee and dessert gatherings with our new pastor at a location relatively close to them. However, you are welcome to attend a different gathering, if it is more convenient. Remaining dates are March 29, 30, and 31. For more information, visit our website and be sure to RSVP, so we know where to expect you!
YOUTH MISSION TRIP 2011
The youth at MPC (5th grade and older) are making plans for a June trip to the Global Village Experience at Heifer International in Perryville, Arkansas. For more information about the trip, contact Carolyn Morton at carolynmorton@bellsouth.net. The youth must register by April 1.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY—SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to rain, outdoor painting had to be postponed to last day of Habitat Build, so lots of volunteers will be needed. Contact Shepherd Lynsley Tyler lynsley@bellsouth.net today to let her know that you can help on Saturday, April 2 with the last day of our spring build!
SUPPORT INTOWN COLLABORATIVE MINISTRIES
