We welcome Sarah and Gene Martin as our guest musicians this morning. They are filling in for our organist/choirmaster Walter Huff who is presently serving as Chorus Master for two productions with the San Diego Opera.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
A brief congregational meeting will take place immediately after worship today, April 10, for the purpose of dissolving the vacant Associate Pastor position. The position can be re-established easily whenever we choose to add staff; this vote will save the church money by our not having to pay into the pension fund for a vacant job.
MISSION TRIP MEETING
If you are interested in going on the Adult Mission Trip to New Orleans May 16-21, be sure to attend the meeting this Sunday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m. in Room 201. Duncan Spears will be able to answer your questions about cost, transportation, and the RHINO (Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans) program.
SERVING DINNER AT DRUID HILLS
Contact Curt Barrett at emailcurt@mindspring.com to sign up to assist with serving dinner to 30 men at Druid Hills Night Shelter this evening.
PICK A PAN SUNDAY
Take home an empty pan from the narthex today and return it by 10 a.m. this Tuesday, April 12 filled with the requested item to help feed 45 men attending the Common Ground program at AIDS Alliance for Faith and Health.
WALK FOR LENT
The Morningside community has been walking for an hour during Lent. Please join us for our last walk this Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. The walk begins at the Welcome Center.

ST. JOSEPH'S HAITIAN DANCE BENEFIT, APRIL 18
The Resurrection Dance Theater of St. Joseph's Home for Boys will perform a selection of traditional Haitian dances in the Cannon Chapel of the Candler School of Theology on the Emory campus on Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. St. Joseph's, dedicated to bringing boys from the streets of Port au Prince and providing them with a Christian home and family, lost two of its three buildings during the 2010 earthquake. Donations from the event benefit the continuing rebuilding of St. Joseph's.
BIBLE AND BRUNCH CONTINUES FIELD TRIPS
All are invited to attend the Bible & Brunch outing on Thursday, April 21, 10-11:30 a.m. We will be visiting The Temple on Peachtree Street for a tour. RSVP to the church office. Plan for a 9:40 departure from MPC or meet at The Temple at 10 a.m. Childcare is provided at MPC from 9:30-11:45 a.m. Those who are interested will go to lunch after the tour.

All are welcome for a Mediterranean style dinner at 6:15 in Fellowship Hall on April 21. RSVP to church office today. This is a big outreach to our community, and we hope that you will invite your neighbors to attend. Donations of filled eggs are needed as well as egg hiders, greeters and clean up crew. Join the Morningside Bible Class as we continue our series focusing on Christianity and the Arts. Next Sunday, April 17, Carol Senf, Georgia Tech Professor in the School of Literature, Communication and Culture will explore John Donne’s Holy Sonnets. This class meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201.

Today the Preschool Class will hear the story of Jesus’ meeting with Zacchaeus and have a chance to make their own play about the story. Elementary Classes and Double Digits will study the story of Jesus prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane as he struggles with his situation.
