Palm Sunday
9:30 a.m. Coffee and Conversation
9:45 a.m. Church School for all ages
ADULT: Join the Morningside Bible Class as we continue our series focusing on Christianity and the Arts. We are discussing the intersection between faith and artistic expression by exploring different art genres). This Sunday, Carol Senf, Georgia Tech Professor in the School of Literature, Communication and Culture will explore John Donne’s Holy Sonnets. This class meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201 and all are welcome.
CHILDREN: Preschool children will talk about parades – and perhaps have their own parade – as they respond to the story of Palm Sunday. Elementary Classes and Double Digits will study Matthew’s version of Jesus’ arrest, trial and crucifixion, emphasizing Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophesies.

WALK FOR LENT
The Morningside community is invited to come together for the last walk of this Lenten season on Wednesday, April 13. We will gather in the Welcome Center at 6:30 p.m.
LYDIA CIRCLE
Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes members and visitors of MPC to join them for their next gathering this Thursday, April 14 from 7-9 p.m. at the home of Tamara Nix (1732 N. Rock Springs NE Atlanta, 30324). The group is pleased to welcome our new pastor, Baron Mullis, as the special guest that evening. RSVP to Tara Parrish at taraparrish@bellsouth.net
SUPPORT MPP’S SPRING FLING
This year’s preschool fundraiser is this Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come enjoy games for all ages, pony rides, a petting zoo, toddler play area, inflatables, face painting and a choo choo train!
NEW MEMBER SUNDAY
Are you thinking about joining Morningside Church? Palm Sunday, April 17 is a great time to do it! Plan to attend the Inquirers' Class that Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room. Please be in touch with Baron Mullis (404.876.7396, x11 or baron.mullis@morningsidepc.org) to let him know of your interest.
ST. JOSEPH'S HAITIAN DANCE BENEFIT
On Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. you are invited to enjoy The Resurrection Dance Theater of St. Joseph's Home for Boys as they perform traditional Haitian dances in the Cannon Chapel of the Candler School of Theology on the Emory campus. The Morningside Session will be in attendance, so bring a friend and join other MPCers for a great night. Donations from the event will benefit the rebuilding of St. Joseph's since the 2010 earthquake.
SUPPORT INTOWN COLLABORATIVE MINISTRIES
Please bring canned foods (especially meats and vegetables) and pop-top items to the Welcome Center baskets through April 24 to support our homeless and nearly homeless neighbors.
TAI CHI
Spring Tai Chi instruction and practice is continuing on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. For further information or to sign up, contact Barbara Ray, 404.876.7892 or barbray@mindspring.com.
