sustainer. Amen. - Psalm 135:5-7

THE CALL TO CONFESSION
THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
O Lord our God, we confess that we have not trusted the good news. Our
shouts about empty tombs are short lived. We have rolled the stone back over
the door. Even still, we know that we are sinners in need of grace. Even still,
we know that we have not loved you with our whole heart, mind, strength
and soul, and we know we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves either.
So forgive us, we pray. Restore us to the knowledge of the empty tomb and
good news of the resurrection, and then give our faith strength and conviction
that we may be doers of the word and not hearers only. We ask it in the name
of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)
THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord:
People: I will put my laws on their hearts and I will write them on their
minds.
Leader: He also adds:
People: I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.
Leader: Friends, believe the promise of the Gospel:
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.
- Hebrews:10:16-17
