ADULT: This Sunday, May 15, Baron Mullis continues a series of Sunday School classes entitled, "Great Modern Preachers and their Sermons."
CHILDREN: Preschool children will hear the story A New Friend and learn what happened that made Paul a strong spokesman for Jesus. The Elementary Classes and Double Digits will read Philippians 4:4-7 and explore how Christians might find ways to rejoice when things are going against them.

Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes MPC members and visitors to join them for their next gathering this Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for cocktails and fellowship. RSVP to Tara Parrish taraparrish@bellsouth.net.
COUPLES GROUP
The next meeting of the couples group will be this Friday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at the home of Susan and Tom Oder (1334 Old Johnson Ferry Rd., 30319). New couples are welcome, so if you haven’t been yet, now is the perfect time! For more information or to RSVP email Susan and Tom at susan.oder@harrynorman.com.
TORNADO RESPONSE
- As needs are being assessed throughout the tornado ravaged southeast, MPC continues researching details for a trip in the near future to help with recovery.
- Additionally, MPC is a donation site for the Wednesdays in May, 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. for much needed items for those whose lives were devastated by the tornados working with the grassroots organization ‘Toomers for Tuscaloosa.’
- MPC member Heather Regnault is leading efforts to collect donations of critically needed items. Volunteer for a two-hour shift on a Wednesday to receive them. Contact Heather hpregnault@yahoo.com today to let her know how you can do hands-on work for tornado victims.

We wish to thank everyone who donated items for the auction to support our youth in their trip to the Heifer Global Challenge, June 8-11. Be sure to pick up a Silent Auction Booklet today or view it on-line to start bidding on all the exciting items including vacation homes, and Braves and Symphony tickets. The auction will close at the congregational lunch following worship on Sunday, May 22. Don’t miss this opportunity!
