I didn’t go to religion to make me happy. I always knew a bottle of Port would do that. If you want a religion to make you feel really comfortable, I certainly don’t recommend Christianity. ― C.S. Lewis

A REMINDER ABOUT YEAR-END DONATIONS: TO BE COUNTED AS 2011 DONATIONS, PLEASE DELIVER OR POSTMARK BY 12/31/11.
We do our best to make sure all of our generous donors' contributions are noted in the tax year given. To that end, please make sure that your pledges are brought current and end of year gifts are made prior to December 31, 2011. In our current economic climate, end of year giving and gifts over pledge are even more important than ever in maintaining a strong future for Morningside and the work that we are doing. We are so grateful for all of the gifts given to Morningside and we give thanks to God for the ministries that they support.
GIFTS OF SECURITIES
A number of Morningsiders choose to fulfill their annual pledge or make special gifts to Morningside through the gift of stock or other securities rather than cash. We are always happy to accept such gifts; we ask only that you notify MPC Treasurer Randy Parrish when you initiate a transfer of securities so that we can make sure you receive proper credit for your gift. Should you have questions or wish to make a gift of securities, please e-mail Randall.parrish@inginvestment.com or call 770.690.4745. We thank you for your continuing support of the work and ministry of Morningside.
SHEARITH ISRAEL
This year, MPC will provide overnight volunteers to support the SIS women’s shelter for 10 days in January (Jan. 7 through Jan. 16). Volunteers stay at the shelter 6 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. To reserve your favorite night or for more information, contact MPC Shepherd Becky Meadearis at Becky.M.Medearis@Wellsfargo.com or sign up on the Mission bulletin board.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Morningside’s staff would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for all your support during the past year.
